1. Strictly necessary

These cookies make the site work. They cannot be disabled.

• PHPSESSID — session identifier for forms (CSRF, contact form). Session-only.
• cookie_consent — remembers your cookie choices. 12 months.

2. Analytics (with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which essays land and how the site is used. Google Analytics 4 is loaded through Google Consent Mode v2: until you opt in, no analytics cookies are set and only cookieless, non-identifying signals (if any) are sent. We enable IP anonymization. We do not use these cookies to identify you personally.

When enabled, Google Analytics may set these cookies:

• _ga — distinguishes visitors. Up to 2 years.
• _ga_<container-id> — persists session state. Up to 2 years.
• _gid — distinguishes visitors. 24 hours (when present).

You can opt out across all sites with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3. Advertising (with your consent)

If you accept advertising cookies, ad networks we partner with may set cookies to measure ad performance and personalize the ads you see. These networks operate as independent data controllers; consult their privacy notices.

5. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control

We honor GPC signals — when a browser sends GPC, we do not load advertising cookies regardless of banner state.
